Patriarchy is Harming Your Relationship with Ivanna Colangelo

Today I am speaking with Ivanna Colangelo, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist about why you want your couples counselor to bring a feminist perspective into couples work. Ivanna and I get real about our observations of couples dynamics and how they’re created and reinforced by the patriarchy.

Ivanna is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a therapy and coaching practice in Rochester, NY where she lives with her husband, 3-year old daughter, and 2 rescue dogs. Ivanna is certified in Terry Real’s Relational Life Therapy, an approach that considers the influence of patriarchy on how we relate to ourselves and others. Ivanna believes the quality of our relationships determine the quality of our lives so whether through her work with clients, creating content on Instagram, or writing for various media outlets, she is passionate about helping people learn the relational tools and skills necessary to create and maintain a fulfilling life.
